Scolopendra subspinipes, to be precise. These things are NASTY and
show up from time to time. One even crawled across my foot while I
was at my desk once! AAACK! They’re not poisonous, but their bite
allegedly hurts like hell for about 24 hours.
Tracy noticed this one on the way *out* of the washer, meaning she had
to have picked it up and put it *in* the wash with the clothes. NO
THANK YOU.
OMG the very same thing happened to me once. I found him after the cycle was over, scooped him out with a fork thinking he was dead of course, and he came right back to life and crawled across my kitchen island until I chopped his head off with a butcher knife.
UGghhhh. Too many legs!
