autonation overload

Alright, this is lame. All I wanted to do was write a post about how many cars there are in our neighborhood, and, subsequently, how difficult it often is to find a spot to park our trash can on garbage day. (They won’t pick it up if it’s too close to a parked car.) Easy enough, right? Well, in the spirit of over complication, I have found myself researching population density, road width, and a number of other factors that would allegedly make this aside more interesting.

End result? Half an hour later, the post is still unwritten.

End data:
Our house: 2 drivers, 2 cars
Connecting neighbor: 1 driver, 3 cars
Adjacent (left) neighbor: 2 drivers, 4 cars
Adjacent (right) neighbors: 3 drivers, 5 cars

Fourteen vehicles for eight drivers. Are you seeing the pattern? Nobody carpools. The streets are crowded. The island is suffocating.

My trash is two houses down the street.
