Way back in ‘02, my dear friend D had an idea for a very excellent site. Together we gained a bit of creative momentum, then other things took over, and the project laid dormant for a few years. It was utilized for another purpose, briefly, but that was put down as well.
Hi, welcome to Vagueville, I will be your guide.
The Project is coming back to life, slowly. First step is establishing it as my new home for writing about all things parenting. Kid stuff, fatherhood, discipline, silly stories, whatever. It’s a place I want to use specifically to encourage me to write more about my experiences as a husband and father. There’s a bit of that thrown in here, but it’s usually secondary to my typical work-bitching or life-pondering. I want the new writings to be less whiny and pensive and more pragmatic with a storytelling feel.
I will continue to write here, and, honestly, I’ll probably double post all the parenting stuff here and there anyway, but I wanted y’all to keep an eye on the new site and would encourage you to participate in any commentary / discussion. Who knows, I might even invite a guest writer from time to time.
Ok, now that I’ve built it up to something it’s definitely not [yet], have a look at:
It’s nothing much to look at right now, but as with everything I create on the webs, it’ll evolve quickly.
